Jk! We're back to winter!

Heeey!
So not much happened this week.. mainly because the weather kind of freaked out over here!! It started storming with freezing rain and snow literally the day after I sent you all the pictures of all the nice spring we're having.. SIKE! haha yeah so like no one wanted to go outside (couldn't blame them though) or for even us to come to them this week .

It was kind of funny though I'm sure to see me and my comp battling the wind with my cheap umbrella in front of me (kept being thrown inside out lol) and soaked from the super wet snow, my hair going everywhere, on the streets of Ukraine when like nobody else dares to go out but still smiling as much as possible at people as they passed by ( although I almost ran into some people because my umbrella was in the way). All the way though I was singing "neenchay soltsa dyen doushay mayay!" "there is sunshine in my soul today!" Because Christ is my light and hope  guys! :) Seriously I don't know how else I could be smiling and singing right then. Life is good.

Also we made a snowman! And had a snowball fight because you just have to,  you know?

Transfers are next week! So crazy! I think I'm going to stay but will pray I'll figure out the city by that time...

Love you all! Keep looking UP to Heavenly Father! He is there and always listens to our prayers!

иисус воскрес! Happy Easter!!

Hey! HAPPY EASTER!!
This week I will mostly just send and explain pictures. But I hope everyone had an awesome Easter weekend! It's been pretty cool being in Ukraine during Easter. Not much actually happened because everyone was celebrating on their own with their families, maybe out in their datchas ( summer homes) so yesterday the streets were almost completely deserted. But we did have  special Easter Ukrainian bread and some dyed eggs! All from sweet members and a sweet landlord.

The really awesome tradition they have here is  that on Easter  everyone says "Eesoos vaskres!" - which means " Jesus is resurrected! "and then you say back " Ba eesteena vaskres!" which just means like, it's true! I love that. So many people are talking about Jesus, so it has a been a little easier for us to talk about him with others. I gave a Easter mormon.org (awesome Easter video)  card with a nice picture of Christ on it,  to a few people and just saying cpraznikum (kind of happy Easter) and they took it!

Easter Feast
Yum! and lol yup that's a dried whole fish and they just peel off the scales and eat it.

I had a another cool experience on a marshootka where a man smiled at me so I smiled back and he was looking at us and I flashed the Book of Mormon his way a bit ( which I actually took with me that day)  and he asked if we were "mormons" and he told me something like" I know this book is right and good" ! We'll hopefully meet with him this week. So crazy and cool. haha I had to ask him to repeat what he said because I didn't think I heard him right the first time.

Spring here is so beautiful! So many blossoming cherry trees and they smell so good!

My new friend Mike Wasowski! He's the one-eyed homeless cat who lives outside our apartment.

While we were "English contacting" with our district this week one time ( Basically just giving out cards for our English practice), my district leader comes over with these two guys saying they speak french! Oh Man. That was probably the most confusing thing that has ever happened to me. Hahahah I didn't know what language I was speaking the whole time because Russian would come out of no where all the time and I unfortunately forgot quite a few words in french, and they didn't know English so I basically could not communicate but some how we sort of did. They were from Morocco and super cool and nice and patient with my lack of being able to speak ahah.

I am so grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because He loves me SO MUCH. His sacrifice is THE biggest act of love that has ever been made and it is for ALL of us! And because He lives, we can live again too!

Love,

Conference is BEST:)

HEY Y'ALL
So starting off this week, I had a super fun birthday!! We played some basketball with some of the elders, and I am way rusty but it was still fun! Then we went for sushi! haha wasn't the best I've had but wasn't bad either. Although dad you'd be ashamed of the wasabi... I tried eating a big chunk of it because we couldn't taste it much in our soy sauce and.. I died.. but not as much as I should have haha. We got ice cream and walked the streets of dnepr, it was the NICEST day. super warm and sunny. Then we went bowling!

Also a cool little miracle was in the evening of my birthday I was just standing in the isle of a marshootka and the lady sitting in front of me was looking at me and reading my name tag and she starts asking about the church and what we believe and said that I apparently look just like her daughter! She also said she wants to learn English so I gave her an English practice card. I didn't get her number because she had to leave too soon but I thought it was still a cool experience and I'm hoping we see her again someday!

And then ending this week we got to CONFERENCE yesterday! Well some of it at least. I have seen the Sunday morning, Saturday afternoon and Priesthood sessions now, and can't wait to see the rest! It was SO good. The General Conferences are literally two of my favorite times of the year!

I loved hearing our Prophet Thomas S. Monson speak and so boldly and powerfully testify of the truth of the Book of Mormon and how so important it is to read it everyday and to gain a testimony of it for yourself if you haven't already. It's so true. I have really gained a huge testimony of it on my mission already and of the happiness it can bring in our lives.

Also it was super cool to hear Elder Bednar's talk in the Priesthood Session. It was about how we are called to serve. And then assigned to labour, this is the Lord's work and He will place you where He needs you. Made me think of Tony and the Lord's hand in helping him and come to the truth of the gospel, and hear it in his native tongue. BTW, update on that, his wife was baptized this last weekend as far I know and they're doing well both in Utah now!! So amazing to hear.

I loved all of the talks I heard, there's too many to talk about obviously but if you missed, they're all on lds.org! And then in the ensign to read next month! It's such a blessing to have a living prophet of the Lord on the earth today! I wish everyone knew it! I'll do my best to help make that happen this week:)

I love you all!

sorry I can't load pictures this week:( next week though!

I don't know about you but, I'm feelin GOOD and 20 too!!

доброе утро

Kak dela?? I'm good as well thank you. Good week. Yulia got baptized on Saturday!! The baptism went well and she is so sweet and awesome! She bore her testimony at the end of the baptism which she kind of had written out but it was super good and then yesterday, she was confirmed and given the gift of the Holy Ghost and it was so cool cause it was fast Sunday where everyone has the opportunity to bear their testimony and she went up because she said felt a strong feeling to- just minutes after receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost she is already recognizing His influence. Her testimony made me cry, even if I didn't understand it all, I can see her super strong faith and testimony of the gospel.

I am so blessed to witness the gospel bless people's lives! And even if people never listened to me, I am still strengthening my own testimony when I share it with others. I had a super sweet experience where all I was doing was bearing my simple testimony in Russian of the power of the atonement and the joy in repentance in a spiritual thought at an activity and I just felt the spirit super strong and I couldn't stop smiling.:) MAN. The gospel brings so much happiness! It's the best.

Some fun things that happened this week: I saw Sister Condie!! ( my MTC comp) it was so fun to catch up!
We did lots of service this week in gardens and one time we saw some "crop-dusting" aka a huge fire in the field!

oh yah.. and I'm twenty today!! WEIRD. hahah. I'm excited though! This will be a fun year:) Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes!

LOVE YOU
